National Benefit of Health Solutions

Go Go Go. TV, radio, music, internet; every form of medium we subject ourselves to tells us we have to do things quicker. Get more done! Take on more tasks. And while this is something we also expect of ourselves it has had some major repercussions. Our food choices have taken a very hideous turn in the last few years and the effects can be seen everywhere. Where do we start to look for them? On our own bodies. The blood pressure for the average person is at an all time high. This can be attributed to food and stress. Our youth has the highest number of obesity in this countries history. Heart attack and strokes are on the rise. Physical activity is at a constant decrease and there does not seem to be a change in any of these trends in the near future. Water takes the path of least resistance and while in most cases this seems to be the wise move, when it comes to health and diet this could not be further from the truth.

On every other corner there is a fast food restaurant. If they are tearing one down it is to build a new one. The draw to the convenience and prices is absolutely understandable. Parents on the average are over-worked are on endless schedules leaving small windows to worry about  food, NOT nutrition mind you! This leaves people scrambling and the easy choice is to drive through and pick it up. Cheap. Easy. Fast. It is hard to argue the benefits but when you look at the research, the cons are really beginning to outweigh the pros. Parents need to make wise, nutritious choices for their children and we as adults need to make wise decisions for ourselves.

Even when we do take the time to go to a grocery store, the pre-packaged meals are sometimes to tempting to pass up. However these choices are usually void of any nutritional value and leave us feeling hungry in a few hours anyway. Putting together a well balanced meal may take a little longer but the benefits to you and your family are well worth the little extra time, not to mention the affects on a national level. Make it something the family does together. Develop strong family bonds and even stronger bodies.

Overall, as the greatest country on earth, we should be able to discover the national benefit solutions of healthy living and why they are so important to our well-being, and leading a happy, productive life!
